In January 2008 a site visit to the study area in Flores in Indonesia was made by Maria Yazdanbakhsh, Jaco Verweij, Adrian Luty, Firdaus Hamid, Bertrand Lell and Eddy Wiria.

In March 2007 a meeting has been held at the Dept. of Parasitology, Fac. Of Medicine, Univ. of Indonesia

On the 27th of September 2007 a seminar at the department of LUMC has been given, one of the speakers was Mark Booth, the title of his presention was: Micro-epidemiology of helminth-malaria associations in east African communities.
